Ronald McDonald House Charities® Manitoba is a non-profit organization that keeps families together. We are part of a global network and offer comfortable, affordable accommodations for families with sick children. We operate two core programs: Ronald McDonald House®, and Ronald McDonald Family Room®. Ronald McDonald House is a home away from home for out-of-town families who have a sick child in a Winnipeg hospital. Conveniently located just two blocks from Winnipeg's HSC Children's Hospital, parents can rest assured they are never more than a few minutes away from their child. The Ronald McDonald Family Room is a home within the hospital for all families (local and rural) who have patients in HSC Children's Hospital. Located within the walls of the hospital, this cozy space offers a space where parents can rest and take a break from the hospital environment. Ronald McDonald House Charities Manitoba was founded by the Pediatric Oncology Family Centre of Manitoba Inc. in May 1984. Annually, RMHC Manitoba supports over 2,000 families, provides over 5,000 nights of accommodation, and saves families an estimated $1,3M in costly, out-of-pocket expenses.
