North East Social Action Program (NESAP) is a Christian nonprofit organization that has served residents in need in Carroll County and Northern Baltimore County, MD, since 1984. In Christian love, NESAP provides crisis assistance to individuals and families with their physical, financial, and emotional needs. NESAP is an extension of the ministries of our local congregations, we proactively partner with clients, other non-profits and professionals in our community, focusing on continued education while working toward self sufficiency. NESAP Assistance Programs Our services include financial assistance (for rent fuel, utilities, transportation and medical bills), as well as food, clothing, school supplies and Christmas assistance). Many organizations outside the community and overseas benefit from NESAP's donations as well. Assistance is also available through our cooperative outreach programs. Call the office at 410-239-6216 to make an appointment. The Thrift store's proceeds fund NESAP's Assistance Programs, and in addition, provide free clothing items for community members in need. The store provides an ever changing variety of carefully selected second-hand clothing, books, housewares, toys collectibles and furniture. Executive Director Donn Dietrich At the heart of NESAP are faithful volunteers who donate their time on a weekly, monthly, or as-needed basis. Volunteers help in the thrift store, loading dock or food pantry. Individuals, churches and business groups participate in outreach programs throughout the year.
