SHAC — Southern Highlands Artisans Collective — is a not-for-profit organisation building a vibrant creative hub in the old potato shed (next to The Big Potato) in Robertson NSW, bringing together some of the most talented artists and artisans in the Highlands under one roof. SHAC, opened in May 2019, is a dynamic destination where visitors can see a diverse range of artisans and artists at work in their studios creating work or browse in our dedicated art gallery spaces. Artworks are for sale in the SHAC Galleries and direct from the artists and artisans. The public, designers and architects can also commission bespoke work or see visiting artisans hosting talks and lectures. Visitors can also attend regular workshops in Green Door Studios where you can learn from talented artisans and guest tutors. The world-class Moonacres School also moved into SHAC in 2020 adding to the ever-growing collective buzz in Robertson. In August 2021, Jennings Kerr Gallery opened up their new gallery in the SHAC precinct, making our creative hub a go-to destination in the Southern Highlands.
