Immigrant Services provides settlement support to newcomers to Canada that promotes their eventual independence, integration and active participation in Canadian society. The Immigrant Services program is funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and Alberta Employment and Immigration (AEI). How We Can Help By providing Information and Orientation about the local community and life in Canada, we make the adjustment to the new culture a much easier one. Interpretation and Translation services help limit language and communication barriers. We also provide translation of official documents. We support the settlement process through Community Referrals to: - Employment-related services - English language assessments - Educational resources/ESL (English as a Second Language) services - Health Services - Community Support and Recreational/Lifestyle services
