Welcome to the Transmission! The Sebes and Cugir manufacturing locations in Romania, which include the Star Transmission headquarters in Cugir and Star Assembly location in Sebes, are Mercedes-Benz Group AG wholly owned subsidiaries and are an important part of the Mercedes-Benz Cars global powertrain production network. The Sebeş location assembles transmissions for Mercedes-Benz. The Cugir plant is home to the production of gears, shafts, high-pressure pipes and mechanically processed components for engines, transmissions and steering systems, as well as a technology center with i.a. prototype production. With support from the Romanian government, Star Transmission is one of the first Romanian companies to offer a dual education system based on the German model in Baden-Württemberg. As partners of the program, Star Transmission and Star Assembly offer practical training in their respected establishments.
