As of March 1st, the Council of the City of Toronto passed a new subsection to the city's animal bylaws. This amendment strictly prohibits the use of choke collars, choke chains, pronged collars and any similar device. The city has also imposed a 1 hour limit when it comes to leaving a pet tethered, unsupervised. If you would like further information of the new by-laws, please click here.
