SLAM: Salt Lake Academy of Music is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit progression on music producer and educator Steve Auerbach's efforts to bring unique and effective music education programs to Salt Lake City. SLAM is a progression on Auerbach's seminal work in developing School of Rock in the Western USA from 2005-2008 and then developing Salt Lake City's most award-winning music school, musicgarage.org from 2009-2019. The vision for SLAM is to provide instruments and instruction to any children in the community who attend and regularly/actively participate in lessons and practice regardless of socioeconomics.
