The Toronto Pearson International Airport has generously awarded funding to Achēv to provide Cross Cultural Sensitivity Training through it’s Propeller Project. The program will sensitize Employers located in Etobicoke, Brampton and Mississauga on their approach to working with diverse and newcomer workforces. Achēv will provide virtual Cross Cultural Sensitivity Training to management teams of participating employers to: -Increase cultural awareness/sensitivity -Promote a positive, engaging and inclusive work environment -Address newcomer under-employment for Employers with a culturally diverse workforce who hire newcomers. Below are some of the program specifics: -Areas to be covered by the training include cross-cultural awareness, unconscious bias, addressing newcomer under-employment and inclusive leadership qualities -After the training has been completed, there will be three months of engagement with participating organizations to facilitate implementation of learnings and action plans in the workplace -Ideal employer candidates would be small, medium or large employers with newcomers to Canada who are committed to diversity, inclusion, creating a positive and engaging culture, and address newcomer under-employment If you are interested in participating in this FREE initiative, or have questions, please contact Mark Peters, the program facilitator at mpeters@achev.ca or 905-301-8703.
