Dawson McAllister Association

www.thehopeline.com

Dawson McAllister is recognized internationally as a gifted youth communicator. He founded his ministry in 1973 and during his career he has spoken to millions of teenagers and young adults through television, student conferences, and radio. Dawson has also published nearly twenty books resulting in over one million copies in print. He began his national radio show in the early 90’s on various Christian radio stations. Starting with only five stations, his call-in talk show, Dawson McAllister Live! grew to be broadcast nationwide, and in 1994 was voted National Religious Broadcaster’s Talk Show of the Year. Shortly after the start of the DMLive radio show, it became painfully clear that radio alone was not enough. Compelled by the burgeoning need of hurting young callers, Dawson created TheHopeLine — an off-air call center where one-on-one conversations might truly effect change in the lives of the callers. In 2005 he made the decision to transition to mainstream radio in an effort to help a larger audience of teens and young adults. Dawson is currently heard on many Top 40 stations throughout North America. The mission of the ministry is to REACH, RESCUE AND RESTORE TEENAGERS AND YOUNG ADULTS. REACH happens through the radio show, mobile app, and website. RESCUE occurs at TheHopeLine. RESTORE is accomplished through our national network of partner organizations.
