Sense International India, also known as Sense India, supports and advocates for better services for deafblind children and adults across India and partner with NGOs and government to provide them with care, education and livelihood opportunities. We envision a world where all deafblind children and adults can be full and active members of society. When Sense India started in 1997, there was only one programme for deafblind people in India, which was supporting just 23 deafblind children. Today we are enabling 78,000+ children and adults with deafblindness through our Partner NGOs across 23 states and the government’s Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) programme.
