In the congested world of satellite communications, XTAR is unique in mission and focus: we are a commercial satellite operator, yet provide communications solely to military and government users. Offering connectivity in the X-band frequency range via two satellite payloads, XTAR provides full MILSATCOM compatibility, ideal for military enterprise communications, special operations missions, information gathering and border security. Featuring high-powered 72 MHz transponders and global, fixed and steerable beams, XTAR provides over 4 GB of cost-effective, flexible and secure X-band capacity. In 2019, Hisdesat announced that it will construct additional satellites through which XTAR will provide service in the X, Mil-Ka and UHF frequency bands. With these two next-generation satellites currently in the planning stages, XTAR is poised to serve the government and military for decades to come.
