Designed by Finnish architect Viljo Revell in 1957 - initially the home of art collectors Marie-Louise and Gunnar Didrichsen and their family - and later extended with a museum wing. Changing exhibitions 2-3 times a year. Collections consist of Finnish and international modern art as well as ancient Pre-Columbian and Asian artefacts. Exquisite sculpture park by Laajalahti Bay, Reacheable by boat. The museum has hosted a broad range of exhibitions, of which the shows by Edvard Munch, Vincent van Gogh and Kazimir Malevich have been most prestigious.
