Created in 2000 by the P&V Insurance Group, the P&V Foundation nurtures a sense of social responsibility in young people and active participation in the building of an inclusive society. The actions and operations of the P&V Foundation are based around 4 principles, inspired by values associated with the social economy: solidarity, empowerment, citizenship and participation. In this way, it intends to support active citizenship and to fight against social exclusion of young people. The aim of the Foundation is to support young people in various aspects of life in society and give them the appropriate tools to navigate the world of today. The P&V Foundation was recognized as a foundation for public utility in 2006. Every 3 years, the P&V Foundation launches a research/action programme to address major problems young people are confronted with or to help them realize their dreams. In addition to its activities focused on youngsters, the P&V Foundation gives out its Citizenship Award each year to persons from Belgium or elsewhere , who are committed to an open, democratic and tolerant society. Since 2016, once a year, the P&V Foundation brings together different personalities in a conference / debate focused on a particular subject related to its projects. Finally, through the “Be Our Organization Support Team” (BOOST) action, the P&V Foundation and members of the P&V Group staff work together to help various partner organizations in their daily and long term development. By doing so, they put their knowledge, in various fields such as IT, human resources, marketing or communication, at the service of non-profit organizations supported by the P&V Foundation.
