The CMA Education Foundation's mission is "to promote and support maritime-related education through financial assistance, events, and activities." It is recognized as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit educational association. While it is closely associated with the Connecticut Maritime Association ("CMA"), the CMA Education Foundation is a separate legal entity. The CMA Education Foundation's primary activities include: Awarding scholarships to further maritime education. Subsidizing paid internships for aspiring maritime professionals. Engaging and educating the general public to promote the maritime industry and international trade. Hosting career fairs. Special initiatives in cooperation with generous donors.
