Center for Childhood Safety’s (CCS) mission is to be the leading source of safety education in Northeastern Wisconsin, dedicated to preventing and eliminating childhood injuries that lead to disability or death. The #1 killer of children is not heart disease, cancer, or any other serious childhood illness. Unintentional injuries is the number one killer of children and in 90% of the cases they could have been prevented. CCS works daily to accomplish this. Through programs such as Safety Town, children learn how to safely navigate in a dangerous “world” – whether that world is their home or their neighborhood. CCS also offers the right tools – car seats, bike helmets, and other protective gear – to keep kids safe. Equipment and education are provided at minimal to no cost. This takes considerable resources, and CCS needs your support.
