John Walton from Saucedit saw the symbiosis between the employer, employee and governance that could be achieved using a simple business friendly software solution. He saw that this should be a relationship of harmony and good will as they had an unavoidable & dependent relationship. He saw the problem was not one of different agendas but of a lack of trust due to a lack of transparent information sharing. He saw government regulations not as an inhibitor for business but as a tool that if presented correctly could be used effectively and efficiently to protect businesses and employees. He saw the gap in the market as being a lot of disparate information systems giving data on individual employment mechanisms. He thought that to fill this gap was to present all relevant information into a logical format that is practical and easy to use. It was the collation of all of this data into an intelligent bit of software that was the break through for SaucedIt. This allowed employers to be more transparent and employees to see that employers genuinely cared about their employees welfare. It also made regulatory compliance easy and much less stressful. Transparency on pay scales, determination of these rates, safety and employers feeling they are being valued for taking the risk of employing people saw a revolution in the way employees and employers viewed each other. This simple but effective mindset of mutual information sharing broke down centuries of bad blood, enabling a more productive, safe and fulfilling society. 16
