Gender Action Tanzania (GATA) is a non-governmental organization established on 2015 and registered with registration No: 00NGO/R/026 under the Non-Governmental Organization Act, No 24 of 2002. Gender Action Tanzania considers gender equality as a fundamental human right therefore we thrive to support women and men in Tanzania. This is done through community sensitization, collaboration, research and publications on gender, economic development, health rights, leadership and political right to attain gender equity and equality. Since its inception, GATA has been conducting various activities targeting youth, women, men and other vulnerable people in the community. These activities aim at promoting women participation in decision-making processes promoting sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) and gender equality. raising awareness of women rights to own land, increase their ability to own means of production and encourage activities of self-reliance through capacity building of community members in entrepreneurship.
