The purpose of Network is to enhance the African-American experience at Texas State past, present and future. Our goals include: Enhancing the African-American alumni presence through: - focused efforts to identify the needs and desires of current African American students to assist with equipping them for the current professional environment - increased engagement of African American alumni via different platforms and activities - ongoing networking and mentorship activities with intent to evolve as the climate changes Maximizing our African-American network alumni network to develop pathways to help alumni navigate the different career paths following commencement Continuing financial stewardship by consistently giving back to current students through scholarship
