Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen Co., Ltd. (LTS) has specialized in the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of thrust reversers, aircraft parts made from composite and bonded materials and line replaceable units (LRUs). Additionally to the technical services, LTS also offers logistic services to customers in the aviation industry in the Asian Pacific region. Founded in the year 2000, the company commenced operations in May 2002. The company is a joint venture between Lufthansa Technik (80%) and Beijing Kailan Aviation Technology Co. (20%). Based at Bao´an International Airport in Shenzhen, southern China, the company's geographic situation is one of the factors that makes it an important partner specifically for customers from the Asia-Pacific region. More than 350 staff work in the competence center, primarily on the maintenance of thrust reversers, radomes, engine cowlings, control surfaces and aircraft components. LTS also provides comprehensive on-site support, from process ordering and logistics to repairs acceptance, customs processing, transportation from and to the customer, and tracking and tracing – all from a single source with 24/7/365 AOG service. LTS has also maintained its own pool of line replaceable units (LRUs) that includes numerous spare parts from the original equipment manufacturers. In the areas of avionics, pneumatics and hydraulics alone, LTS supplies and supports approx. 100,000 different part numbers for virtually every Boeing or Airbus aircraft type and also for Bombardier CRJ regional jets.
