Camden Open Air Gallery is a community led art project. It is aimed at creating a platform to showcase the work of young street artists, whilst creating a unique experience that can help attract the staycationers heading to London this summer. We are painting shop shutters, walls, dustbins, lamp posts and planks of wood to give Camden some new colours, and in the wise words of Justin Timberlake, ‘bring sexy back’ to the streets of Camden. With the COAG art map, you will be able to tour around Camden, munch a samosa or burrito, sip a pint or a cocktail, and admire work by some of the most innovative and creative young street artists working today. Some unknown talent alongside some of the biggest names in the game. One night a week we will be illuminating the art and creating a night-time art gallery for all to come and enjoy. Sales of the artwork will be generated online, via our app, and in our gallery on Camden High Street. This will be opening in August Alongside our Launch Event… a celebration of all things Camden. It is our intention to donate some of the proceeds raised during the event to the artists and the businesses that take part, and we are setting ourselves the target of raising £100,000 for Camden Town.
