I love photography. Specifically, I love portrait photography. There's something so amazing about the human spirit (and let's not forget about our animal friends- because their spirits amaze me too!! And I love when families include their furry friends!!) When I photograph someone, I realize that they are letting me into their life..and I am forever grateful and honored to be allowed to join their life, even for a short period of time. I enjoy getting to know my clients, making them laugh, reminding them of the joy that their family gives them, and then capturing that joy and love. I want my clients to never forget the little things about their loved ones that mean so much to them today. I feel that photographs should be intimate. They should reflect a piece of oneself. Family and friends should look at a photograph of a loved one and say "I can hear that sweet giggle in my head when I see her smile in that photo!" Photographs should be natural! Not posed in an awkward setting. It's awkward enough in front of a camera as it is!! I always do my best to make clients feel comfortable during a session. We talk & laugh, and I encourage children to play & be KIDS! That is when their spirits shine- and that is what I strive to capture.
