In 1986, Lathrop was acquired by nationally recognized and New York based Turner Construction Company as a wholly owned subsidiary. Turner, America’s Leading General Builder, maintains a close network of 46 offices in the U.S. with a staff of 9,750+ employees who work on more than 1,500 projects per year. The strength of the Turner organization has allowed Lathrop to grow in capabilities of serving its current customers locally and across the country, in collaboration with the local Turner business units. Additionally, Turner operates national market segment groups, which focus on particular building types, to complement the firm’s geographical network of offices. This structure provides clients with the in-depth knowledge and experience needed in specialized facility types coupled with the strength and understanding from a strong local market presence.
