Africa Made Its Cinema is born in a regional and international context marked by a real need for promotion of films of Africans and Afro-descendants of quality, able to enrich the local and world cinematographic industry in general. Besides the offer of other film festivals, this project would like to participate in the revitalization of the promotion of this cinema specific to Africa with its identity, its codes, its values, and its particular history, etc. To do this, it will be a question of establishing a very dynamic, permanent and structured communication. The ultimate goal then being to encourage the emergence of another way of apprehending the film made by Africans and Afro-descendants. Because, far from any complex, it is a question for producers and lovers of African cinematographic art to allow Africa to show itself as it is, by inventing its own cinema, by valuing the contributions of Afro-descendants. It is an encouraging experience of an Africa that meets other cultures to give and receive.
