In 2003, SeAH Holdings took over Kia Special Steel (currently, SeAH Besteel), a company manufacturing special steel, and embarked on aggressive management and investment. In 2011, SeAH Special Steel was listed in the securities market. SeAH Besteel took over Arconic Korea (currently, SeAH Aerospace & Defense) in 2020 and has since been expanding its business portfolio to also cover aerospace and defense industry through the value-added non-steel products.
