Beautiful Gate South Africa is an interdenominational Christian organization helping all those in need, no matter what their background of faith. We believe that the best place for each child is within a family, and that the best people to support families are their local community. We therefore aim to build community networks caring for children en supporting families. Every day we embrace God’s love in our aim to reach Beautiful Gate’s six objectives; 1. To improve educational outcomes and reduce negative influences and behaviour patterns in children by providing and strengthening after-school environments/projects for children ages 7-18years (primary and high-school) 2. To strengthen families by increasing family cohesiveness, parental proficiency and children’s sense of belonging in vulnerable families by improving parental knowledge, skills and opportunities and encouraging a culture of kinship adoption, community parenting and child protection 3. To protect children, provide temporary shelter and care - including medical care - and reduce the number of statutory removals of children from nuclear families by providing intensive family counselling and preservation services to families in crisis and dysfunction. 4. Provide adequate adolescent health services and the particular need for accessible child and adolescent HIV treatment services in this community. 5. To increase educational and economic outcomes for community members by promoting educational and vocational opportunities through career guidance, job seeker’s training, information services and skills training. 6. To actively collaborate and build capacity in local CBO’s and churches to increase the scope and delivery of services to community members
