The Compass CBS Foundation serves family-owned businesses overcome income, language, and cultural barriers so they may engage prosperously in the 21st century economy. We truly believe family-owned businesses are a cornerstone of our economy which is being crushed by various forces and as a result is stifling growth in our communities in many areas. We all know a business owner at one point or another but do we know his or her story? Family-owned business present a very unique set of challenges that go beyond just the business. A family can successfully prosper by attaining the right education, mentors, and resources which will help them learn family dynamics enhanced by good business practices. We are new as a non-profit but we are definitely not new to the entrepreneurial community. Our founders, Edgar Olivo and Paul Taliercio of Compass CBS, discovered a large need for business education for family-owned businesses and how it leads to prevent business failure rates. In their discovery, they learned about the difficult sacrifice families make in order to keep their business afloat while losing sight during survival episodes to further their education as a primary strategy for success. The Compass CBS Foundation exists to help struggling families in business with access to business education and support year round. With the support of the sister organization, Compass CBS, we have experts readily available with curriculum, materials, and equipment. With your support we can help hundreds of families succeed with financial, digital, and cultural literacy programs that have lasting impacts to our communities at large.
