The Engineering Duty Officer School's mission is to improve the professional proficiency of Engineering Duty Officers through training in plans, programs, policies and procedures by which the Navy accomplishes the life cycle engineering of naval ships and systems. The School develops and delivers naval ship and ship systems life cycle engineering and acquisition training to support Engineering Duty Officer efforts in delivering the best ships and systems to the finest Navy in the World. The School also fosters and serves as a focal point for Engineering Duty Officer Community leadership and professional development.
