They may not be trained dancers, but Heather Flanagan and Laura Paglione are the lead choreographers of Identity Flash Mob, an online resource designed to bring fun and informative content about digital identity and Internet standards to new audiences.  Ten years ago, the concept of online privacy was so new that there were very few guidelines for websites, services, and apps using shared digital identity. Frankly, the average person likely hears the words “digital identity” and goes, what the hell?! This is what prompted us to create an inclusive space for people of all identities to learn in community—empowering each member to confidently navigate the ever changing digital landscape.  We believe that the time to elevate our collective understanding of this digital world is important now more than ever. Because the gap between how people perceive the Internet and how it actually works is leading folks to make poor choices online that affect their real life digital identity.
