Jørgensen M.Eng. in 1961 and became a limited company in 1978. Today, EKJ is a well-established company with capital amounting to DKK 65,8 million. EKJ is a corporate member of the Danish Association of Consulting Engineers. 39% of the share capital is owned by the company's management, project managers, technical specialists and other staff, and 61% by the EKJ Foundation. The company provides engineering consulting services in connection with the construc-tion of buildings, bridges, tunnels, ports and road and rail installations, as well as in the areas of plumbing and heating, ventilation, indoor environment and energy, electrical power systems and data engineering, project management, construction management, external environment, quality assurance, value management, risk analysis, urban renewal, operations and maintenance, and client counselling. The company has been engaged in building consultancy, design and construction management since 1961, and has taken part in more than 4,000 projects, large and small. In 2010, EKJ acquired a 100% shareholding in Broconsult ApS, a construction sector consultancy specialising in infrastructure projects and construction maintenance.
