BEST Ljubljana is a voluntary non-profit student organization that provides the students of the University of Ljubljana with a possibility of extra education in the chosen area of expertise, contacts with future employers, working in international teams, getting acknowledged with European cultures and developing an understanding for the cultural diversity whilst acquiring organizational skills. BEST Ljubljana was one of the founding members of BEST International in the year 1989. Thanks to further initiative, BEST Ljubljana was registered as an student organization in 1995. Today, BEST Ljubljana has 40 active members from different faculties in Ljubljana and more than 200 alumni. Our traditional projects are: engineering competition MacGyver, Summer Course for international students and BDTN – BEST Days of Technical and Natural science. BEST Ljubljana separates project in four parts (Academic, Logistic, Fundraising, Public Relations).That kind of structure ensures the soft skills quality and the flexibility of applying them to our projects. The Leadership of the BEST Ljubljana is divided between President, Secretary, Treasurer and four Vice – Presidents, each responsible for its own department (Fundraising, Public Relations, Human Resources and Informational Technologies)
