Otero Ramos Family Winery was born to honor an ancient legacy which started two generations ago in the lands of Galicia, Spain. Towards the end of the 20th Century, Manuel Otero conceived and planned the viticulture, winemaking and tourism project he had thought of for many years through the experience gathered in this activity. He acquired a significant parcel of land in Mayor Drummond, Luján de Cuyo, at 33º South latitude and situated at an elevation of 900 meters above sea level, on the eastern flank of the Andes Mountains, with hot days, cold nights and little rain. It belongs to "Luján de Cuyo" Appellation of Origin. With extraordinary ecological conditions, this place has well deserved the name of First Viticultural and Winemaking Area. The winery’s Spanish style is typical of the end of the 19th century. It has a wine cellar which stores wine in oak barrels and bottles, with mechanisms for humidity and temperature control. Premium wines, the highest technology and the most careful and traditional winemaking practices identify this winery.
