KCL Space is a student run body that aims to provide its members opportunities to engage in space related activities organised in the college and international events alike. We run many hands-on activities such as Astronomy, building and launching rockets in competitions, high altitude ballooning designs and plenty of social events. We aim to get everyone free membership to the UK Students for Exploration and Development of Space and discounted entrance to our events, including the National Student Space Conference. We keep members updated on networking opportunities with industry, sponsors, and space organisations, and hence provide access to a national network of students and space enthusiasts, as well as speakers from academia, and all parts of the space industry. We aim to provide opportunities for interested students to engage with the Space industry, and keep members updated on activities taking place around the UK. Our rocketry division engages in constructing model rockets which are launched during summer. We have previously been awarded the UKSEDS Most Improved Branch of the Year; KCLSU Activity Group of the Year 2021/22, and we have hosted the National Student Space Conference 2022 at our university, as well as Google DEVFEST UK & Ireland.
