Action, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable, non-profit organization and Community Action Agency serving the Greater Cape Ann area. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged residents of Cape Ann and beyond by minimizing the effects of poverty, promoting economic security, and advocating for social change. Action has been a local leader in the nationwide fight against poverty since 1965 and has extensive experience creating programs to meet the needs of low-income residents in our service area. We have built a sustainable and coordinated system of services for Greater Cape Ann’s families in need, through our Client & Housing Services, COMPASS Youth Program, Energy Services, HomeCare, Housing Assistance, Job Training and Education, and Shelter Services divisions.
