I think the worst kind of company is the one that is very good at sales, but not very good at delivering. You know the ones I mean, they promise a bigger, better website with a top ten placement in Google and you are persuaded to sign up. What they deliver is only what is actually possible, something less than perfect and placed as high as the site’s popularity deserves, it’s not what they promised, but they’ll just find excuses, and you’ll have to go along with it. I’m not the best salesman, I’m likely to tell you all sorts of reasons why you won’t get a top ten placement, or why you can’t afford the design work or functionality you like. I lose a lot of sales that way. I will, however, do my utmost to deliver the best web site you can afford, I’ll work with you to improve its placement in the search engines, I’ll help a lot, but it will be no quick fix. You’ll have to work on your website too. If you’re looking for a quick and easy, get rich quick web site, then I can’t deliver. If you’re looking for a friend in the website business that will be honest about the work you need to do to get your web site working for you, then that I can do.
