The Icelandic Meteorological Office offers air, land, and sea weather services for Iceland in addition to providing warnings of possible avalanches, coastal flooding, flooding,earthquake, sea ice and other natural disasters caused by conditions related to the duties of this office. The Icelandic Meterological Office conducts considerable data acquisition and processing in addition to research. Work is performed in close cooperation with both domestic and foreign organizations.
