SATHAPANA Limited, Myanmar is the Microfinance Institution that was established in January 2015 by MARUHAN Investment Asia Pte. Ltd. SATHAPANA Limited obtained a Temporary License in June 2015 to operate Microfinance Business in Myanmar with 15 million US$ dollars authorized capital. SATHAPANA begins its microfinance operations in August 2015, and obtained Permanent License in July 2016. The US$ 5-millions capital injection was done in January 2020 to increase SATHAPANA’s authorized capital. And additional US$-5 millions capital was injected again in October 2021 to strengthen SATHAPANA’s financial commitments. Now, total authorized capital of SATHAPANA Limited is 25 million USD. Since the start of its operation, SATHAPANA Limited has been providing access to credit to more people, especially to poor and unbanked people living in rural areas, and contributing a lot to the development of the economy of Myanmar through financial inclusion. Our mission is “To empower entrepreneurs and to generate employments in order to upgrade their living standard through access to financial services in sustainable manner”. SATHAPANA Limited provides the access to affordable financial service to those, especially unbanked people, who are willing to start their new businesses, and expansion of their businesses.
