There comes a time in every good cook’s life that he or she shares the secrets of their favorite recipes. Well, here we go. The first thing you should know about Recipes from the Studio is that the name pretty much says it all. We’re slow cooking this blog in order to share with you a variety of recipes, tips and insights into the food that we regularly enjoy with each other and our clients here at our Manhattan photo & video studio. Over the years we’ve shared countless amazing meals around our large communal table and we created this site as a fun way to share the wonderful food, cooking tips and restaurant / chef recommendations that are a part of our everyday experience. The key ingredients behind Recipes from the Studio are two old friends and collaborators, Peter Pioppo and Manny Kivowitz along with a small band of talented culinaires. Peter is an award winning food photographer who’s work can be seen everywhere from magazines, billboards, tv commercials and in virtually every supermarket aisle. Manny Kivowitz is an award winning video and commercial Director / DP who early in his career developed his love of cooking while working with Peter in more studios than we care to count. We hope you’ll share these recipes through your pots & pans and around the table with friends and loved ones.
