Diamond Cutters International (DCI) is a diamond and colored stone cutting house and championship ring manufacturer founded by Fred Cuellar. He is also the author of the nationally and internationally acclaimed book “How to Buy a Diamond”, in print since 1991. Cuellar got his start in the diamond business while in college, and subsequently became a management trainee and then manager of a jewelry store for a national jewelry chain. As he sharpened his business skills and knowledge of diamonds and other gemstones, a personal philosophy began to take shape of how diamonds should be sold and marketed at the retail level. At the core of this philosophy is an unshakeable belief in customer service, quality merchandise and bringing clarity and transparency to the industry by educating the customer.
