Oasis Ministry Ventures began as an effort by former staff, campers, and community leaders to keep the property of The Oaks, a camp in Southern California that was closed due to COVID, in Kingdom service and to continue its ministry to urban youth and families. We have acheived both of these initial goals by alerting Union Rescue Mission to the upcoming sale so their donor could be poised to make a sucessful offer, and by relaunching winter camps at a new location coming out of COVID in March of 2022. We are now working on expanding Christian camp ministry that empowers urban youth and families by adding more winter camp weekends, by acting as a catalyst for urban focused camping programs, and by pursuing a path to offering summer camps in 2023 for urban ministries in Southern California. Help us grow opportunities for the under served and under resourced in our cities to experience the life changing impact of culturally responsive Christian camp ministry so disciples are made and communities are transformed in the city.
