Founded in 2018, JOSA is the premier, student-run platform for young leaders to publish rigorous analysis on the U.S.-China relationship. As an intercollegiate, international, and multidisciplinary publication, our team places a special emphasis on creating a diverse, open forum for serious discussion of the challenges and opportunities present in an era of intensifying superpower competition. JOSA is dedicated to charting constructive paths forward in the Sino-American relationship, acting as an incubator for new ways of thinking. We publish work that uplifts voices of the next generation of leaders from both sides of the Pacific, with past authors matriculating at institutions such as the Yenching Academy and NYU-Shanghai, to Stanford and Middlebury.
