We are a community-driven non-profit organization that provides a platform for young Pakistani Americans to Unite, Engage and Rise. In 2015, nearly four years ago, a group of like-minded individuals dreamed of a community where young Pakistani-Americans could come together for support, encouragement and opportunities. We began meeting in the basement of a local restaurant, and while the setting didn't match our drive it didn't dull our passion. Today we're a vibrant community of more than 150 active members, and growing. Our headquarters is located on Coney Island Avenue and Newkirk in a central, street-level accessible facility that serves as a safe space and an open forum of ideas. The Pakistani American Youth Society (PAYS) unites the community by providing a central communal space for meetings and activities. We encourage engagement by organizing town hall events, workshops and open discussions with community leaders, members and local merchants. And we strive to help our community rise by providing a safe space for building professional networks, offering opportunities for leadership development and promoting access to professional and social opportunities.
