Gästrike-Hälsinge nation is one of the thirteen student nations in Uppsala. Founded in 1646, it was originally composed of students from the two historical provinces of Gästrikland and Hälsingland, which are situated in the east coast of central Sweden. Today it has 1900 members who come from all parts of Sweden as well as all corners of the world. GH-nation is located in a beautiful late 19th century building at Trädgårdsgatan 9 in central Uppsala. A nation is an organization concerned with the leisure time of its members as well as of all students in Uppsala. A nation offers study halls, housing, libraries, but also pubs, clubs, low cost meals, and traditional parties. It is entirely run by students, most of whom work voluntarily.
