Biotechnology Innovation and Regulatory Science (BIRS) Group is a network of graduates, faculty, and friends of the Department of Agricultural Biological Engineering at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. The department offers both an MS concentration and a graduate certificate geared toward professionals in the pharmaceutical, medical devices and biologic fields. The program incorporates industrial experts from pharma, medical devices, and the FDA to serve as lecturers and guest speakers, partnered with Purdue University faculty, to enhance lectures with real-life experience, cutting-edge topics, and relevant group case studies. Networking in the program is an added benefit as professionals in the fields of QA, QC, regulatory affairs, etc. engage in topic discussions and contribute based on their role.
