We fully embrace the primary meaning of collegium: a gathering of individuals with common interests in which each member is equal. New Collegium is united by a fascination with baroque music and instruments, and motivated by the wish to communicate with modern audiences. Great music in great company! Since our foundation in 2006, we have been known as Collegium Musicum Den Haag; we’re moving forward as New Collegium. In this way we connect 18th century origin to our 21st century context and are better recognisable to our international audiences.
