The Pulse Club is an initiative of the Ballinasloe Area Community Development and will be open to membership from January 2019. It has two key objectives: 1. Provide a networking platform for both new entrepreneurs and developing businesses; 2. Provide members with a mentoring and support service via monthly presentations by seasoned executives as well as subsidised in-depth courses on key topics as chosen by its members. The First Tuesday Club is a unique resource for entrepreneurs from all business types - service, manufacturing, agri/horticultural, retail and much more, offering mentoring, support and local networking in Ballinasloe. On the first Tuesday of each month, the group will come together to network with aspiring, new and existing entrepreneurs, to learn about topics of interest that will support the development of their business. For example, learning about e-commerce, understanding available grants, how to set up a website, social media marketing as well as opportunities to showcase their business or deliver an elevator pitch. The agenda will be set by the members. Key speakers and experts from a local, national and international background will be in attendance throughout 2019. Membership of The Pulse Club is a subsidised €50 for the first year and is open to all entrepreneurs in the Ballinasloe area - aspiring, new and existing. About BACD The main aim of BACD Ltd is to create sustainable employment within your community and the company aims to achieve this by promoting enterprise and supporting projects that will encourage investment into the Ballinasloe area. BACD Ltd is a not for profit entity with charitable status. The Board of Directors are elected each year at the annual general meeting all of whom give their time voluntarily. A company Manager is employed by BACD Ltd to implement the strategic decisions of the board, manage the Enterprise Centre and promote and support local community projects.
