The Venus Framework Group
www.venusframework.onlineWe are a microbusiness - a small group, consisting of an engineer and artist, a data scientist, and an anthropologist and linguist. We are building a framework to help people understand and address structural violence, including gender inequity, ethnocentrism and ageism. We use modelling and simulation as a tool to aid face-to-face communication. It is the process of creating the models that triggers discussion and helps people develop new insight as the prerequisite to cultural change. With the Venus Framework, we can help you create models to investigate your ideas about the causes of structural violence. We can help you build systems of multiple, interacting models and run simulations representing complex sociocultural phenomena. We can help you analyse the generated data and compare it with real data. We use an agile approach, avoid reinventing the wheel and keep things simple. We aim to get simulations up and running as quickly as possible. We are currently experimenting with a variety of modelling and simulation tools and investigating various sociological phenomena from academic research papers. We also have the ability to deep-dive and develop complex models to meet clients’ specific requirements.
