SuzyQue Creations is born out of a childhood dream. As a child, Brenda “Suzy Que” Dennis, began doing sculpting and pottery work at the age of five years. At eight years of age, she was taught to crochet by her aunt Diana. All of the creative work started a fire and a dream for her to have an outlet to sell and share her creations with the world one day. Finally, after 45 years, that dream is realized and SuzyQue Creations, LLC is born to be that outlet. Even though she travels predominantly by a wheelchair, Brenda did not let her disability (alternate ability) stop her. Legal blindness caused Brenda some difficulty in working with the small beads. But she did not let that stop her from holding onto her dream or looking for options to help her continue her passion. Since she is legally blind, she now uses a blind cane to travel in her wheelchair. She also uses a closed-circuit television to work with the seed beads and small crochet. Today, she produces unique, one-of-a-kind handmade gifts of crochet, knit, and bead mediums. She also specializes in original artwork paintings of floral designs done with ballpoint pens and colored pencils. Brenda conveys the “never give up” spirit. She has found a way to do her passion as a job on a daily basis now. “It is easy to be positive when your work is your passion and your work and pleasure are the same. Never let your dreams go for any reason. Your dreams have no expiration date.”
