Safe, efficient and eco-friendly: these are the keywords for VoltAero’s aircraft design. Building on 10 years of pioneering expertise, VoltAero is bringing a distributed hybrid-electric propulsion system for safe, quiet, efficient and eco-friendly flight. VoltAero’s production aircraft will provide a highly-capable and reliable general aviation platform for private owners, air taxi/charter companies, commercial flights for point-to-point regional travel, and for use in other utility-category applications. Seating from four to nine persons, the aircraft will have a flight duration of at least 3.5 hours. Aircraft deliveries are expected to begin in 2021-2022 from VoltAero’s final assembly facility in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region of southwest France. Building on the VoltAero team’s expertise – which includes the founders CEO Jean Botti’s and Technical Director Didier Esteyne’s decades of experience in the aerospace industry, developing electric aircraft – the company is ready to usher in a new era of safe, efficient and eco-friendly electric flight.
