C.I.S.Co. is an organisation representing public authorities and enterprises operating in Italy in the multimodal transport field. The Council contributes, towards ever more efficient distribution and transportation of goods, to develop the transport system through extended unitization and to put forward concrete proposals in the operational, legislative and administrative fields both at government and industry levels as well as within international organizations. Thanks to: - direct links with authorities, institutes, associations and enterprises, collecting data, information, details of operational experiences and indication for future developments, etc.; - analysis of containerisation literature, update and record of information; - organisation of C.I.S.Co. international conferences and similar events to debate and study transport problems in their various aspects; - technical visits and study trips to obtain direct concrete knowledge of the most interesting achievements obtained in the logistics we offer: - an information service covering all aspects of transport problems; - availability of technical publications prepared and edited by C.I.S.Co. experts, papers and minutes of our conferences and press reviews; - participation in events organised by C.I.S.Co. e.g. conferences, study trips, seminars, technical visits, meetings and debates; - active help for our members with the implementation of their proposals, initiatives, studies and research; - introduction and presentation of our members to government authorities and bodies, institutions and firms at national and international level.
