Advantage General Insurance Company Limited has a rich history in the general insurance industry. The company was established in 1964 and following a change of ownership, became known as United General Insurance Company Limited in 1986. In January 2007, the company's name was changed to Advantage General Insurance Company Limited. In September 2019, Sagicor Investments Limited acquired majority ownership (60%) of the organisation, a continuing demonstration of the Sagicor Group to provide the best comprehensive insurance schemes for Jamaicans.
